The Poeti Vaganti digital project aims to present the main threads of the study of a popular phenomenon that significantly impacted cultural life during the Hellenistic period. The lives of the itinerant professionals of literature and music, their artistic paths and careers as attested in epigraphic sources, provide us with multiple glimpses into the Hellenistic performative panorama. Developed in collaboration with a team from the Center for Hellenic Studies, this project extracts from the epigraphic sources data that is then organized according to spatial-narrative criteria. The result supports our attempt to reassess the ongoing discourse on the cultural production of this period.
